Private Etosha Safari with African Extravaganza

Windhoek - Etosha National Park - Windhoek

Day 1:

Windhoek. Your private guide will fetch you from your hotel in Windhoek and you depart on your privately guided safari at around 08h00 from Windhoek towards Okahandja, via Outjo into the famous Etosha National Park, where we’ll undertake the first game drives. (lunch enroute included) The Park is well known for its huge herds of antelopes and zebra. You will overnight in either Okaukuejo or Halali Rest camp on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Each of the national camps have a floodlit waterhole, where you can sit in the evening and watch the game during evening hours.

Day 2:

Etosha. A full day in Park lies ahead of us. Except for the rainy season, Etosha’s animals are dependant on artificial waterholes and natural springs. Explore the various waterholes along this enormous saltpan, which is called the “great white place of dry water” in a local language. Lunch at one of the rest camps. Overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at Namutoni Rest Camp.

Day 3:

Etosha. Encounter the big variety of wildlife in the Park one more day. More than 114 mammals species are found in the Park, several of them are rare and endangered like the black rhino of the black-faced impala. You have a great chance of seeing some of the bigger mammals, like elephant and rhino and of course a highlight in any safari, the predators. Lunch stop at one of the rest camps. Overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis either at Namutoni inside the Etosha National Park, or one of the privately owned lodges outside the Park.

Day 4:

Etosha. Depart during the morning and travel southwards with a stop at Lake Otjikoto to Otjiwarongo and via Okahandja, where we will visit a local craft market and arrive in Windhoek during the late afternoon.
